Let's Play Iji Again
Sector 2
<< | ^^ | >>

Okay! So.
I'm going to need 2 Health, 6 Tasen and 2 Crack for this sector.

If you add up the numbers, you may notice that I might not be able to get the upgrade points to get all of this.
That's why it's time to unveil a secret technique!
DOWN+CCCCZ

I can hack my own Nanofield! And then...

NANOFIELD REBOOT
All my spent upgrade points are now unspent.

The main downside of doing this is that I no longer gain health by increasing my max health for this sector!

Still not killing anyone!

Fortunately, enemies being morons and getting themselves killed doesn't count as me killing them.

So far, so good!

Okay, I am now fully qualified to get my secret on.

Jump upgrade acquired!
Now, I must break back into the early part of the level.

Ribbon #2!

And here is where the shenanigans begin.

Get this rocket turret firing, then...

WHOMPF
I'm up here.

Now that I have the Jump upgrade, I can get up here!

I pick up the earliest rocket launcher in the game!

And this means I can KNOCK THIS WALL DOWN

And now I can get up here!

Supercharge acquired!
Time to go through the rest of the stage as per normal.

I can skip the length section above by cracking this door open!

Here's the next secret!
Gotta jump down on the left side without destroying the boxes...

Blow up the wall, use the boxes to jump back up...

And I'm in!

Poster #2!

We're not officially the most bored Tasen squad in the universe. Since all we do in this remote room is keep a lookout for hostiles - of which there are none- we started shooting down the winged alien lifeforms flying by the small window in here.
We programmed a simple machine, using a display taken from out of our suits, and a heat sensor from a turret. The machine, quite simply, counts the little aliens killed. I believe we've taken the expression "terminally bored" to new heights.

I tried hacking the alien-counting machine when no one was looking yesterday, but that show-off Yukabacera had laid down some sophisticated encryption algorithms for it. It took me a few days, but I managed to make it display "Naotgerai rules" - after which Yukabacera reprogrammed the whole thing from scratch, using a hardcoded encryption instead.
I don't know which one of us is the most bored right now.

Yes, you can shoot the birds. The machine on the left keeps score.

WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT

Marvelous. We're done here.

Since nanofield rebooting makes it hard to get health for the rest of the sector, I'm gonna go ahead and do it now, right before I start sector 3. Only downside is that I have to leave my rocket launcher behind...

Next time: Plot shift!
