Found a new axe that's better than my shitty old one! This kickass weapon ignores enemy PV completely.

Poison! This would have been a serious problem in the past.



However, now, I know the Slow Poison spell! I can dilute it to the point that it's harmless.

The strange item always spawns on top of a trap, so it's best to kick it out of the way.

Well... I don't have any way to bypass it... OR DO I?

It's very imperative I reach a certain place, so I'm going on ahead!

Mimics appear to be a random item until you get close to them. There is nearly always one in this shop.



The only real interesting item is this one - the rest is crap and spellbooks for bad spells.

Selling is simple - I drop an item in the store, and Waldenbrook offers me a price for it.



Looking for more things to sell... wait a minute.

TWO strange items?



Well, I'll sell one for now.

Total earnings from my sold items are a couple grand - I just barely pull a profit after the ring.



For non-chaotics, there is a guaranteed-aligned altar in this town! Time to make use of it.



The dwarven gods are very fond of gold sacrifice. Since gold is already one of the best ways to earn piety, this is a good thing.

I now have Lucky, which should help to lessen the effects of Cursed.



Another use of altars: Turning water into holy water! Now I can bless almost anything.



Now for what I'm really here for!

QUESTS.

This is one of the most potentially annoying quests in the game, as the monster assigned is COMPLETELY RANDOM.

I think I can work with this one, though.

The best way to handle a displacer beast is to not give it the opportunity to dodge.



BRAVE THE SINGLE TILE OF WATER AGAIN



Remember how spells have finite castings? This is a way around it!

You can cast directly from the spellbook, if you are carrying it. This costs more PP and takes more time, but it doesn't reduce castings and it trains mana.



Oh right, there was an ant colony up here.



The axe of penetration helps, but these things are still nasty!

These bastards are insanely fast! I can barely outrun them with my Seven League Boots.



However, I have yet to meet ANYONE who can outrun a lightning bolt. Except for Andor Drakon.
