Floor 1: Used one bomb, got sticky bombs.
Floor 2: Used two bombs, gained three ropes, rescued a dame. One bomb left.
Floor 3: Nothing of note.
Floor 4: Used last bomb, used a rope, gained three ropes, acquired the Udjat Eye.

Floor 5: Lost one health to a frog, found the Black Market.

Floor 6:

Ladies and gentlemen, I see before me the greatest item in all of Spelunky.

The Jetpack.

This wonderful device allows me to fly, providing about two seconds of constant thrust before failing. It's like the Booster v0.8 in Cave Story, if you've played that. The important thing is that I have attained majestic powered flight.

Floor 7:

If I could take a girl on a date and traven by any means of transportation, I would be tempted to choose jetpack.

Lost one health to a frog, rescued a dame.

Floor 8: Used two bombs, lost one health to a zombie, rescued a dame. Out of bombs.

Floor 9:

However, not even jetpacks can save you from UFO bombardment in tight quarters.

Oh wow, Youtube, SA, and here. I wasn't even aware there were people doing picture-post lets plays.

There are! I know a couple other people on LJ doing Let's Plays of Legend of Legaia, Geneforge, and Dawn of War II.

I did video lets plays for a while myself until my computer became too suckish to allow me to do video capture anymore, so now I just play, review, etc. Actually I still sometimes do coop lps over internet heh...
But cool, I'll check them out too.
btw... what do you use as screencapture? it isn't just the print screen button cause then you'd have to paste it in to something before taking the next picture, so I was curious.

Actually, it IS print screen. I hit it, switch to paint, paste, crop, save, then go back to the game. So ghetto.

Really? Wow. I sort of wrote that off as being impossible cause I forgot that you can pause most games :P
So, did you watch a lets play video or read an imagepost letsplay first? I didn't know of imagepost ones until I saw what you are doing. I just discovered livejournal about two weeks ago though so... heh. (well I knew of it but hadn't really gone around the internets much other than gaming... well actually text-based MUDS...) and I am rambling. So I'm gonna end this message here,

I'm fairly sure that imagepost predates video by a substantial margin - the first one I read, if memory serves, was SA's fantastic The Terrible Secret of Animal Crossing (http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/Animal%20Crossing/index.html).

I feel so dumb, and here I thought it was all video, heh, its been 6 years and all this time I was mistaken hah.
Animal crossing wild world? so 2006 for you? Ah cool my first one was a video I saw when I was searching for a gameplay video of Katamari damacy.
