Let's Play Vantage Master
Welcome back! Sorry for not updating yesterday.

This is the last map of the initial four! After this one, difficulty will start to really pick up. My opponent is someone whose class name I do not recall, so I'm going to go with Pokemon Trainer Shalka and his Pikachu, Pikke. The reward for this map is my first non-summoning spell, Bless!

Things are gradually getting less unfair in my favor. I get my three Stones for free at the beginning, but the enemy has one Stone solidly in his territory, plus another two that he can get to more easily than I can, making it roughly three against three. However, I have one huge advantage, and that is the hilly terrain.

Let's start right off with my newest Natial, Ae-Ferrion!

Ae-Ferrion is an archer, so its projectiles are affected by gravity. The upside to this: Check out the range on that attack. My height superiority gives Ae-Ferrion a HUGE attack range, so it can stay back here as a righteous doom howitzer.

Accordingly, the enemy must fight an uphill battle to reach me - both literally and figuratively. Unfortunately, my opening was a little conservative, leaving the enemy with time to gather 3 Stones to match my 3 Stones. We're on even ground, for the first time in the game!

Theoretically, the best choice here would be to attack Guene-Foss, because Fire is superior to Air. However, that other Stone is unguarded, and the Fa-Rancell will act before I get another chance to capture it. Also, it's at 1 HP...

Ultimately, this is the better choice. Or was, until I remember that the Fa-Rancell had recovered 1 HP last turn from starting on a stone. Alas.

This Guene-Foss is actually a fairly substantial threat to my position here. Not only are my Stones in danger of capture, but my only unit up here is an Earth unit, and I absolutely don't want to lose my Ae-Ferrion. Also, I'm terminally low on MP, so I'll stick her with a physical attack for now.

In the continuing theme of making mistakes with my Dullmdaler, I send it to chase the Guene-Foss rather than capturing the other Stone. This later turns out to be pointless, as I deal with it before he even catches up.

I'm stalled temporarily here, because while the frontline deals with his main army, Batman is busy with an intense struggle to keep control of my own Stone base without getting zapped to death!

OKAY we're golden.

My momentum regained, Shalka is rapidly pushed into a corner, now outstoned 5 to 1.

Just gotta figure out what to do about that Hepitus...

Thanks to the magic of the Element Circle, even a fairly weak attacker like Marme can be a real powerhouse under the right circumstances!

IT'S THE END OF THE LINE, SHALKA

NOT EVEN YOUR POKEMON WILL SAVE YOU

BATMAN HASII WONED

I get another point of Attack this level, which should help for those tight situations when I need to knife a bitch. Also, I can now cast Bless, which heals every Natial I have on the field for 1 HP. Handy, if a bit situational!
