Let's Play Vantage Master

Welcome back!

Today's stage is the final stage of Phase 2! It will pit us against Hayate the Ninja, in a battle for control of Pelitt, my first new air Natial.

This is a less open map than most of what I've been doing! Ranged attackers will frequently have limited attack areas, and battles at the choke points will be decisive.

Our first major combat breaks out on the right side. Dullmdaler may not have been the best choice for him - it's fairly expensive, and not hard for me to neutralize on a narrow map like this.

Also, having the element advantage, I can crush his Fa-Rancell on the left side.

Sparing no expense, I break out the big guns fast in an attempt to grab more territory. With this, it almost looks like I've neutralized both fronts!

I haven't, of course - that Ae-Ferrion makes approaching with my Master a recipe for disaster. I have to hang back for now and play cautiously.

However, he's playing a mostly earth army, and I have a Guene-Foss on the field.

A mistake is made! Zamilpen's magic didn't last long enough for him to finish the Dullmdaler off, and it slipped past my defenses to stalk Batman. This leaves me in a pincer attack between his Guene-Foss to the north and his Dullmdaler to the south.

The pincer is cut short, though, by the Dullmdaler being destroyed by his own kind!

The nice thing about having the advantage in Stones is that I can sling out freezing magic like free candy.

All things considered, he did much better than I thought, but it's the end of the road.

BATMAN HASII WONED

Attack up! Also, I now have Pelitt, the single weakest Natial in the entire game. It is, however, quite useful, for reasons that will no doubt become clear later!
