Away from the other siblings, Rosa can relax a bit.

BGM: Worldend (Solo)

If she gets the money, and pays off all the debts... will he come back?

Even so, wouldn't it be nice? He's Maria's father, couldn't he visit her at least once?

Wait, wasn't she alone in the room just a second ago?

Kanon really is good at sneaking up on people.

Rosa accepted to be the co-signer on a loan for Maria's father, which is why she's where she is now. Rationally speaking, it was a bad move.

That future never came. Rosa was alone. Maria never had a father.

That debt is Rosa's trial of love. If she can pay it off, maybe she'll be allowed to love again.

Or maybe it's the opposite - the fact that she sees this as a trial means that she still hasn't let go of the past.

Kyrie's story sounds like a miracle to Rosa. She lost the man she loved, but persevered for 18 years, then managed to win him back.

Rosa doesn't actually believe that that miracle will come for her.

She's waiting eternally for someone who will never come.

Rosa let him go, and he never came back. That was the day Rosa fell into hell.

In love, you fight for what you have, or you fall into hell.

But please, have no fear of death.
After all, it is a peaceful sleep.
The truly terrifying thing is the hell into which falls the unsleeping ghosts who cannot win yet cannot die.
That hell has no end...
The battle of love is cruelest to those who do not fight yet cannot die.
So in love, you've got to give it a shot and put it all on the line. Dying in battle... is better than the alternative.
They say the most torturous toxin for humans is made from rotting love. The suffering it brings exceeds the tortures of the most twisted hells.
...I understand. It is up to me to kill that seed or make it bud. However, if I let it rot here in my chest, that poison will surely torment me forever...
And that is the most fearsome torture in the world, even for us thousand year old witches.
See what happens to those who make light of love! This hell of Rosa's...
...is what happens to those who do not possess the courage to make the seed of love bud, and instead allow it to rot.

A red glow fades from Kanon's hand.

No, not a rose petal.

A drop of blood.

Rosa slides quietly down onto her side.

Finally, her worries are over.

In the trial of lovers, those who lose their love lose their lives.

A barrage of red light nearly destroys Kanon.

BGM: Fake Red Shoes

MARIA's attack is emotional and reckless, striking only empty air.

Kanon strikes from behind, but a barrier repels his attack.

Kanon's locus vanishes. Sakutarou's power blocks all attempt to target either of them with his attacks.

MARIA surrounds the parlor with red barriers. It is now a perfect closed room.

When MARIA lets loose another barrage, it is blocked by another barrier.

What can she do, though? As long as Sakutaro is here, no attack can target MARIA.

However, Shannon has no need to target anyone.

She'll just defend herself.

Shannon's unstoppable barrier gradually expands until it covers the entire room.

Another closed room. This should be great news for that wannabe detective in the guest house.

That's four.

Then shall we finish with Beatrice's turn? Oh, where did she go?
To the victim she has chosen, of course.
