Let's Play Umineko Chiru, Episode 7 Tea Party: The Killers

<< | ^^ | >>

Just past midnight, the cousins get a phone call.

George is to proceed to the chapel. Jessica is to proceed to the parlor. There, some kind of strange test will begin.

Something's not right. Why would he call two people to different places at the same time?

It's strange.

George explains the strange situation to the others after the phone call ends.

For now, they'll go along with it. Battler and Maria will stay here and await further instructions.

Gohda won't be making any more coffee for anyone.

Time to split up. Kyrie will take care of Jessica, Rudolf will take care of George.

Splitting up for this part was Kyrie's idea. She wants to test whether or not Rudolf really has the guts to see this plan through.

No last requests, no mercy.

Someone else survived the massacre.

Eva just regained consciousness now.

Eva checks the clock. The bomb is set.

Right now, she has no choice but to fight to protect her son.

Eva carefully reloads. This one doesn't jam.

Bernkastel... You showed me how wonderful my world was... I don't want to believe that you created this tale just to hurt Ange... By now, even I realize that you're the Game Master here. Please, tell me. Why are you showing us this game...?

Ha! Show whatever terrible game you like! You're trying to say that this is one of the endless possibilities inside the cat box, right?! Just do whatever you want! I won't let something like this get to me! Someday, I'll find out the truth of what happened on October 5th, 1986!

She sits down. Kyrie closes the door behind her, revealing the gun hiding behind it.

Gunfire.

Rudolf doesn't hesitate, either.

George survives the first shot. He calls out into the darkness for help, but nobody answers.

Don't worry, Rudolf assures George as he loads another bullet.

By tomorrow, none of this will have ever happened.

Try as he might, George can't imagine why his uncle would do this.

After reloading again, Rudolf presses the gun against George's temple.

Another one down.

Easier than he thought it would be, really.

Killing one person erased the last reservations in Rudolf's mind.

What he's doing on this island isn't anything new. It's just business as usual.

The quick swim, the slow sink.

Rudolf's laugh is completely devoid of remorse.

Jessica, are you listening?

Kyrie takes a break from smashing Jessica's face to look herself over. The clothes will have to go, what with all the blood.

The guest house gets another phone call.

Rudolf returns from the chapel. Mission accomplished.

Kinzo always said that there comes a time in every man's life when he must be willing to kill.

Looks like he was right.

Kyrie isn't evasive about this point: She wouldn't mind going back to a three-person family at all. If Rudolf can't convince Battler, that's that.

If he can convince Battler, though, Rudolf has one request.

Kyrie shrugs, loads her rifle, and promises.

As Battler heads away from the guest house, someone else heads towards it.

A flash of lightning illuminates the blood on Kyrie's face.

Despite himself, Rudolf regrets one thing: Dragging Battler back into this family, only for him to be caught up in all this.

Rudolf hears someone approaching from the other direction.

Gun raised, Eva advances on Rudolf.

Rudolf backs away slowly, towards where he stashed his own rifle.

All he needs is a momentary distraction.

Every good Western ends with the villain's bullet missing.

Eva can see through Rudolf's tricks. That's how she knows this isn't one.

Lightning flashes, but the chapel is lit in red, not white.

Another Ushiromiya dead.

Bernkastel! I know you're here somewhere! Please, make this game stop! There's no point to it!

Bernkastel!
Pipe down back there. Can't you watch the show quietly?
Please, stop this! We realize that this world is the sealed cat box world of October 4th and 5th!

We both know the answer, that this is a cat box tale! There shouldn't be any need for further games! If this is supposed to be a game between you and us, then we already know the answer! The game should be over!

There is a point. If you just watch, you'll see it.
Are you the Game Master?!
Not at all.
Then who is it?! Could it be... Clair...?
If you watch, you'll see. Not much longer now. Hehehehe...
The tragedy has already reached its climax. Who'll survive, I wonder? Eheheheheheh...

Are there still more witches playing with Beatrice's game?

Who created this tale?
