Let's Play Umineko Chiru, Episode 8 Scene 15: The New Culprit Theory

<< | ^^ | >>

Is anyone still alive on this island?

Ange runs through the rain, calling out for anyone who can hear her.

Why can't they hear her?

Ange is just an observer of this world. She's not actually there.

Were these murders the work of a witch, or have they missed something?

What if someone faked confirming a corpse?

Nanjo was killed, so he probably wasn't part of the conspiracy. So, his examinations were probably right.

But of the first six Nanjo only checked Genji.

There's no way George would participate in a crime that involved killing Shannon.

So, is Battler lying?

Battler's family are the wolves.

George's relief in seeing them alive quickly turns to horror.

BGM: Patchwork Chimera

Thunder roars, and George and Maria fall.

In full view of Ange, the three of them start joking and complimenting each other on their kills.

Ange slips in a puddle, gives up on running, and covers her ears, trying to block out this insane world.

As she does, dark shapes fill the garden around her.

Gone is the laughter of her family. Replacing it is the words of the goats.

The Eva Culprit Theory used to be the popular one, because it was easy and obvious. After all, she was the sole survivor.

Why did Ange stay home that year? Was there a reason Rudolf's family didn't want her along?

What didn't they want her to see?

The more people investigated about Rudolf and Kyrie, the most dirt was dug up.

The goats always need something new to feed on.

If you have a Rudolf Culprit Theory for the island, why not an Ange Culprit Theory for Eva's death?

A blade cuts through space.

Ange is still in the garden. The goats have been cut down along with their illusion.

The goats hesitate. The cat runs. Ange follows.

Are they getting anywhere? Are they just going in circles?

A goat picks up Ange from behind with one hand

Rather than eating her, the goat spits out words like a curse.

Ange falls to the ground, free from the goat, but more pile in from every direction, speaking in unison.

The goats have forgotten about Ange, and instead try to crush the cat.

A flash of red tears through the goat army. The survivors stagger back in shock.

There is no longer a cat in front of Ange.

There's a person.
