Let's Play Mother 3
Chapter : The Suspicious Peddler
Part 2: What if Everything you Ever Wanted Came in a HAPPY BOX

When we last left our villain, he was giggling like an evil child about money hidden in the well. Now, to the inn!

Jackie
Oh, uh... Fee?
Betsy
There is no "how much" here. Please feel free to stay the night.
Fassad
Oh, I see. Still...

Betsy
Oh. I guess it's okay, then. I'll kindly accept your offer. I suppose it could make a good doorstop.
Your room is the one in the middle. Please make yourself at home, and have pleasant dreams.
Fassad
Thank you very much. Come, little Salsa. Where's your "thank you"?

Betsy
Eee! How cute!
Fassad
Well, then. If you'll excuse us...
Come, little Salsa. Let's go to our room, shall we?

And with that, it's time to sleep. But wait!

In the middle of the night, Fassad has left us alone. Time to escape!

So far so good...

So far so good...

!
Fassad
You've arrived at Osohe Castle? Good. Wait until dawn, then storm the place. Everything's progressing smoothly here.

Fassad
That's it? You only saw him? Then leave 'im be. He's probably just some villager who got drunk and got himself lost.
He walks with a limp? I think I might've seen him myself... he's got brown hair, a gloomy feel, slightly bad breath, and looks kind of like a bum?
Yeah, don't worry about him.
...Yeah. Okay. I leave it in your hands. Star alert!

That's not your money!
Either way, back to trying to escape...

Well, isn't this predictable.

Fassad
Did you think...

Fassad
...you could run away from me?!

Fassad
That's why...!

Fassad
You're such a stupid monkey!

Fassad
Don't bother me anymore!
What's with that look? Laugh!

Fassad
But, you know, if you were going to run away, I'm sure there were some more intelligent ways you could have done it. Like trying to disguise yourself, or trying to walk without making any sound... but I guess monkeys just aren't intelligent enough for things like that! Nwehehehehehe!

That night, Salsa dreams about how crappy his life is. Which is, pretty crappy!

Time to

WAKE UP

Fassad
Listen. Just keep doing your tricks all happy-like. Prance around all nice and funny to help charm the villagers. Do a good job, and I'll set you free. I'll even take you back to that girlie monkey.
But if you bore the audience... you'll get an extra heaping of punishment! Got that?!
What a show!

Abbey, Biff, Isaac, Abbot. Those are the names I collect.

Fassad
If even just one more of us can achieve happiness, all will be right in the world! For those of you who didn't raise your hand, please think it over later, and if you decide that you do want happiness after all, feel free to let me know anytime!
Well, that's all for today's show! May happiness come to this village! Take care!
Now, then. Come along, little Salsa. Let us return to the Yado Inn.
To the bat-hotel-room!

Fassad
What?! There are other people inside the castle?! Why can't you just kick them out?
What?! You can't because they're too tough?!
Alright. I'll be over once I'm through here. Until then, make SURE you find it!

Fassad
Go deliver them to everyone whose names you took earlier.
Abbot
Abbey
Biff
Isaac
Those four people.
Where do they live? How should I know?! Go find them yourself!
And when you're finished delivering them, don't even think about trying to run away. You'll come straight back to this room. If you can't do it in under 23 minutes or so, your punishment'll be even more sever! You'll be much more than charred if that happens.
...If you try and disobey me, I'll make sure to punish that girlie monkey, too! God it?!
[Yes No]

Fassad
Then get to it already! If you can finish delivering them in under 22 minutes, I'll give you a banana or something. I'm making this offer from the kindness of my heart, because I feel just terrible that you're not allowed to eat or drink anything. So be grateful! Nwehehehehe!
It's a race against time! Let's go!

These are our happy boxes. Four boxes, four customers.

Salsa can't run while carrying a Happy Box, making this take longer than it would otherwise.

I find Abbot nice and easy, as he and Abbey are right in town square. Delivery 1 complete!

Abbey cancels her order, too, so we're halfway done!

These things creep me out.

The other two houses take a lot of searching to find. After wandering through most of the town, I find Biff far out to the east.

Three down! One left!

The last delivery forces me through dangerous territory, where monsters lurk, and are probably way stronger than Salsa. Fortunately, they don't seem interested in the monkey.

And with that, all our deliveries are complete! Quick, back to the hotel!

Total time taken: About 12 minutes. That means I can have my banana, right?
Right?

Of course not.

Fassad
I was planning to give you a Special Banana if you had delivered them all in under 3 minutes, but I guess you don't really want one. You insolent little monkey! Nwehehehehe!

Fassad
Hey, you! How long are you gonna stay unconscious? Stupid monkey!
All right! Let's hurry to Osohe Castle!
