Let's Play Umineko Chiru, Episode 5 Scene 13: The Hijacked Game
<< | ^^ | >>

In the mansion, Gohda and Shannon are preparing for breakfast, without a care in the world.

That's odd. Kanon and Kumasawa go to wake him.

When he goes to open the door, Kanon notices something odd along the frame.

A small strip of duct tape is sealing the door shut. It's notched with scissors, in such a way that even opening the door a tiny amount will tear it.

Well, no need to worry about that for now. The door opens, the seal breaks.

Groaning under the weight of her headache, Natsuhi drags herself out of bed, and is greeted by Lucifer.

Lucifer has bad news to report, but it can wait. That phone call is probably important.

Natsuhi reports that she kept her promise. Well, she DID answer the phone just now, but it's OK, considering who answered it.

The party's already begun. Also, the caller has someone else he wants Natsuhi to hear.

Krauss's eyes and ears are covered, so he can't have a conversation with her, but he's otherwise in perfect health.
He will be released tomorrow, provided Natsuhi makes two promises.

Understood. What's the second promise?

If she can hide there for one hour without being seen, she wins. Otherwise, she loses.
Win or lose, if she plays along with this game, Krauss will be released.

Gohda and Kanon have arrived. Natsuhi is warned one last time not to break her promise.
She says to make sure he doesn't break his promise, either.

Lambdadelta slams down the receiver so hard that the phone she was using explodes into golden butterflies.

BGM: Totem Blume

The phones are down. Nobody witnessed the crime. The killer is here on the island.

Calling Krauss has been a failure so far. Nobody knows where he is.
Natsuhi remains silent.

Kyrie and Erika come to the same conclusion: There must be six victims. The magic circle ties the murders to the occult world - and thusly to the Epitaph.

We must assume for now that Krauss is also dead.
Or must we? There are two people who haven't shown up - Krauss and Kinzo.

Natsuhi hastily changes the subject, leading the group to Krauss's room.

Ronove speculates that it might be Lambdadelta's piece, the man from 19 years ago, but that's impossible. With Erika added to the board, There are no more than 18 people on the island.

The other two witches are taking over the game board. Very well, Beato says. Bring it on!

This is a good time to make a move. Everyone is in one place, so the rest of the mansion is free of toxin.

It's time to get to work!

BGM: Deep Blue Jeer

There was a lot of blood on the bed, but none on the floor. So, what happened to the body?

Krauss is fine. He's just been kidnapped somewhere.
Tell that to anyone, and he's dead.

The door to Krauss's room was unlocked. There were five master keys and one room key that could unlock that door.

In other words, there can't be any locked room mysteries in this mansion. How disappointing.

Natsuhi rushes off to the guest house. She's still processing the news, and wants to see Jessica's face one last time.
But that was only half of her reasoning.

No matter what chaos is consuming Rokkenjima, Kinzo must be protected.

Just going to see the bodies won't lead to any new developments, right?

Natsuhi is the first to the room where the bodies were left.

The bodies are gone.
