Let's Play Umineko Chiru, Episode 8 Scene 17: The Book of the Single Truth
<< | ^^ | >>

Lord BATTLER and his wife
BATTLER, the territory lord of the game board, and his wife Beatrice. After their wedding in the sixth game, they became a happy married couple.
In the past, BATTLER emerged victorious at the end of his long-lasting game with Beato, and he reached all the truths behind everything.
Now, in this final game, they have invited BATTLER's little sister, Ange.
Just what sort of tale will he weave with Beato by his side...?

Bernkastel invited her to come along, and then... what?

Ange's been here before.

Bernkastel brought both Featherine and Ange here, so that the former could show the latter the key to the truth.

Does Featherine know anything about the key that Battler gave her?

But maybe he isn't actually leaving this entirely in her hands.
Maybe there's a choice Battler wants Ange to make.

Why else show her that bizarre, fake halloween party?

How would accepting Battler's truth be any different than Battler surrendering to the Golden Witch?

Battler forced Ange to start the game before giving her a chance to understand its true nature. Just like Beatrice did, seven boards ago.

Battler is Ange's enemy. He's making the optimal moves to defeat her, nothing more.
A game is a process to determine who wins and who loses.

So, Ange needs to make the optimal moves to win, too.

Bernkastel asks Featherine to tell Ange where the keyhole is.

As Featherine stands, Ange's vision blurs.
Is someone trying to interfere with her?

Ange's on the sofa, and Amakusa is behind her. She's back here again.

The conversation hasn't changed, though. Ange ignores Amakusa's confusion and continues onward.

The thing under Hachijo's arm is something like a grimoire.

At Hachijo's urging, Ange looks at the back of the book.
The name written there takes her breath away.

BGM: Lie-alaiaa

When Eva Ushiromiya passed away, a diary was found hidden behind her bed.

The diary eventually fell into the hands of Witch Hunters who were content to let the truth slumber within the locked tome.

What's written down within these pages?
Is it the truth of Rokkenjima?

The key is no longer hanging from Ange's neck.
After all, the Ange of the human world never had it to begin with.

The diary is locked away in Battler's game board. However, because this is a game, it must be possible to find it.

All clues must be presented to the reader.
Ange has already seen the diary in Battler's world.

That book was Eva's diary.
The book of the Single Truth.
