Let's Play Umineko Chiru, Episode 8 Scene 29: The Battle for the Golden Land
<< | ^^ | >>

The fleet's assault breaches into the Golden Land.

BGM: Dive to Emergency

Those standing in the Golden Land are like a sand castle standing in opposition to the rising tide.

The invading army clashes with the first wave of resistance from those capable of using magic.

The goats who are stopped are simply overrun by the goats behind them. They are all but infinite in number.

Thousands upon thousands of rounds fire from Beato's ballista towers.

Those who survive the ballistae are blownaway by a spear massive enough to wipe out a city.

The Golden Land's forces aren't the only ones with such power.
One of Beato's towers is torn asunder.

Erika throws her pirate hat into the sky and vanishes from sight.

She reaches the ground without a single thread from the golden bow touching her.

With a single tap, the second tower falls as well.

Everything is engulfed by the sea of goats.

BGM: Bizarre Divertimento
Looks like they just need to kill five minutes to reach the key.

With each clash between the two witches, a universe is born, expands, collapses, and dies.

Bernkastel and Lambdadelta are so evenly matched that a single nudge from the sidelines could upset the battle, no matter how small.
However, interfering is an absolute death sentence.

Ange can't think about dying together with everyone else. After all, she's accepted that their deaths are in the past.

Only one door will open to the future. It will be up to Ange to figure out which one.

If the Witch of the Future moves on without witnessing the end of the battle, there will still be room for a miracle to occur.

Battler has one last message for her to carry into the future.

A massive explosion shakes the battlefield between Bernkastel and Lambdadelta. Is the battle over?

BGM: About Face
Lambdadelta doesn't respond.

As soon as Bern turns her attention back to the key, there will be nowhere for them to run.

Pieces of broken candy surround the Witch of Miracles.

BGM: Flight

Bernkastel's body flickers in and out of existence as Lambdadelta's power hits it from closer than point blank range.

The Seven Sisters and Will, specializing in close-range combat, have already built a mountain of corpses.

The magical creatures aren't the only ones fighting.

Every goat that falls becomes more proof that they exist.

An enormous fist flies at George's face, too fast for him to dodge.

George takes the blow head-on, not moving an inch.

Maria loads a rifle in a single motion, throwing it into the air.

BGM: The Executioner

And what's that shadow covering the moon?

Erika's form flickers away an instant before the rifle shatters her skull.

Every time Erika escapes, Rosa is already waiting for her with another lethal blow.

Erika is forced to retreat high into the sky, out of the range of Rosa's fury.

Where her head was a moment ago, two bullets fired from different rifles collide in midair.

Erika is forced to escape beyond the borders of the Golden Land to avoid the attack, reappearing behind Kyrie and Rudolf.

Erika jumps away again and again, each time narrowly dodging a ground-shattering blow from Dlanor.

Erika knows full well that she's been forced to shamefully retreat.

Hundreds of explosive rounds smash into the garden.

The Golden Land is being torn to pieces with raw power.

Erika calls for the ships to drop anchor. The massive anchors smash into the Golden Land, breaking it apart even further.

Beatrice jabs her pipe at Erika in challenge, and it transforms into a beautiful golden sword.

The goats crowd in to back her up, but Erika orders them to stay out of this one.

The two duelists bow to one another.

Beneath them plays out the last moments of the Golden Land.

As goats fall into the void, the residents of the Golden Land hold on to one another, unwilling to let even a single of their number be sacrificed.

Those within the cat box pray only that the master of the Golden Land will leave proof that they existed.
