Let's Play Battle Moon Wars

<< | ^^ | >>

Sakura is built a lot like Akiha - no melee attacks, questionable mobility, decent damage output, excellent attack range, good for support attacks. She'll need some tweaking to really become usable...

Upgrades: +675 HP and +4 Quick for Shirou, +6 Quick for Rin, +175 HP and +26 EN for Haruna, +170 Tough and Hit & Away for Sakura. Also, Haruna gets the Card of the Casters. Onwards!

Everyone has arrived at the mansion!

This place must have a LOT of bedrooms.

Antics.

OK, back to work!

Nrvnqsr's ressurection, the new Grail War, SHIKI and Roa working together...

This is all part of some larger plot, and we don't know who's responsible.

Tohsaka's off to find the puppetmaster, and Takumi's going with her.

Haruna's staying behind for defense, despite her protests.

With Takumi's group out of the house, it's time for antics! Haruna is going to learn the art of Maid Fu.

Kohaku was playing games with Saber. And won.

Saber is now obsessively training her video game skills, at the expense of sleep.

Haruna likes straightforward things.

Also, she wanted to have a tidy home in which to put her stuffed animals. She also likes those.

Out in the gardens, Shirou warns Kohaku not to cook anything fancy for Saber. If she does, Saber will remember it forever.

Later! We're off to investigate the school.

SHIKI used this school as a base in the past, and Rider has been known to use them as well.

The intruding magus team has been detected!

Chapter 16: Preparation for Blood

Yeah.

Does the stagnation seem particularly thick?

Someone's coming... and the stagnation is thickening. It shouldn't be a problem in the daytime, though.

Rider!!

...

It was you after all.

Tohsaka, then... she is...

Yeah, it's probably almost started.

Where has your Master run off to?

...

If you will not answer...

Then, I will make her!!

Bam?

This'll be a tough Mastery.

14 mooks, the bird, and Rider.

Fun fact: The carving behind Rider reads

Valor
Strike
Alert

This trio form a mid-game strategy I'm quite fond of!

Sakura, Rin, and Akiha are all artillery casters with Offensive Support and Hit & Away. I'm going to be keeping them in a cluster together. supporting each other and bombarding the enemy forces like a trio of bosses.

Onwards, towards victory!

This is what Valor is, by the way.

One of the game's most dramatic Spirit abilities, but also very expensive. I save it for bosses.

The biggest advantage of offensive support is dealing with defensive support!

Even if an enemy has people to take hits for them, the offensive support attack will strike the intended target. That's how I got through to this guy, even though he's right next to Black Getter 3.

Once his will gets high enough to use Projection, Shirou isn't a complete failure? He's still not so great, though. He's missing something.

Last mooks dealt with!

Now for the bosses.

17,000 HP! That means she'll retreat at 6,800, so I need to do that all at once.

I think I have a shot at it.

Akiha can even tank attacks from bosses with her barrier. 0 damage!

A single blow from Excalibur drops Rider nearly to the retreating point.

Gotta be careful...

Also, dealing with the bird first!

Down it goes, with Luck up for double BP.

And then, the finale!

VALOR

I had an Offensive Support lined up after that, in case it wasn't enough.

Ah..

MAP CLEAR
Battle Mastery achieved!

We're in the school! Time to stat looking for magic circles.

Rider is definitely preparing her ultimate ritual, Bloodfort Andromeda, which will consume everyone in the school.

None of us have the power to completely dismantle the ritual, but we can tamper with it. It'll buy us some time to make a more decisive attack, at least.

As they've done in the past, Shirou finds the spell's pillars, and Tohsaka cripples them. We've bought us a couple days at the most...

To be continued!
