Let's Play Umineko Chiru, Episode 7 Tea Party: The End of the Illusion

<< | ^^ | >>

BGM: 7 Weights

The witch's words were true.

The switch is to the left. There was no explosion.

Eva snatches the cash card. Beatrice provides the PIN, too - Eva and Kyrie both write it down.

Beatrice sits down on the edge of the bed, looking like an empty shell.

She has nothing more to do.

Of course, the distribution will become a problem.

Krauss's counterattack: How do any of them intend to move this gold and turn it into cash?

Krauss has connections to the black market from Kinzo's generation.

He's the only one with the power to turn this gold into cash.

Where there were four guns on the table a moment ago, there are now zero.

What on Earth...

For now, it would be best to keep the money secret and take no action at all.

The mountain of gold has made everyone lose their ability to think rationally. This isn't an argument between adults. It's just a fight between kids.
What's so fun about showing this to us? Or is this the game of some new witch? Are they watching us suffer from somewhere and laughing?!

The next sound is like raindrops on the floor.

BGM: Mirage Coordinator

Six remain.

Krauss howls, and raises his gun at Eva.

The sound of gunfire rings out a second time.

In the scuffle between the two, Krauss was shot.

Five remain.

The witch watches the events unfold with total disinterest.

Next, the survivors begin to turn against Eva and Hideyoshi.

Eva suddenly has an idea.

The scene needs to look like an accident.

Eva toys with the switch on the clock idly.

It'd give them a nice 24-hour head start.

This is the only way they can escape without any murder charges.

Not that anyone was murdered, right? It was all accidents.

Even with that plan, nothing could explain why only those two died.

Besides...

How will they get ten tons of gold off the island in one day?

Why give up all this gold when it's right in front of them?

Not quite the truth, though. Don't let the police find this room. Say they had a scuffle in the rose garden instead.

Hideyoshi's company would probably collapse, but who cares? 5 billion yen. Problem solved.

Eva's willing to let the gold go up in smoke to keep the life she has now.

If anyone else dies, it'll be a murder charge for sure. Life in prison, at the very least.

It's okay. Put the gun down.

Ten years in prison would easily be worth five billion yen.

Gunfire. Rosa falls.

Four remain.

Eva couldn't have fired that shot, after all.

Kyrie reloads with a practiced motion.

This gold is worthless. It's no more than a liability.

The best thing to do is to blow up the island, and let the gold go up with it. Just keep the cash card.

With just the two couples left, one billion yen is 500 million per family. That's not bad.

But why shoot Rosa?

Surely she would have conceded the point if Kyrie and Rudolf had explained it.

Krauss and Eva's guns have already been fired. Rosa was the only one left with a loaded gun.

Why split the cash card two ways?

Hideyoshi dies the moment he picks up Rosa's gun.

Three remain.

Two remain.

At Kyrie's orders, Rudolf retrieves the cash card.

Is everything resolved, then?

Kyrie fires again, and the Golden Witch is no more.

From the moment the gold was found, this was the only possible ending.

They had to wait for the others to start shooting first, so they'd have enough ammunition to finish the job.

Kyrie idly reloads. Set the bomb. All the evidence will be cleared up in 24 hours.

Of course, they'll have to kill the others, so that nobody gets suspicious during that time.

Coming up with a way to trick Battler is Rudolf's job. Kyrie will worry about Ange. Her child.

Battler finally came back this year. Was that actually good news?

What's the best way to handle this situation?
