Let's Play Umineko Chiru, Episode 8 Scene 11: The After-Party

<< | ^^ | >>

Ange's asleep in the parlor. Any noise from here won't reach her now.

With her away, the anti-magic toxin is gone. Everyone in!

BGM: Engage of Marionette

That's a start. How about the Seven Sisters?

Business as usual with them. Still, this isn't nearly chaotic enough yet.

Good news for them! This game isn't over.

Battler and Beatrice's game will continue for all eternity, locked within the cat box.

The Ushiromiyas can join the party, too, of course. With the anti-magic toxin gone, Maria can even bring Sakutaro.

Dlanor welcomes the break from stamping paperwork in the Great Court. Cornelia and Gertrude are quick to remind her that their vacation request forms are in that pile somewhere.

Dlanor also reports that she did everything she could to invite Erika, but the envelope was returned to sender, destination unknown. Nobody but Bernkastel knows her location within the depths of oblivion.

Bernkastel will show up if she feels like it. She's like a cat, coming and going as she pleases and ignoring any attempt to call her.

Lambdadelta showed up, though. She confirms that Bernkastel probably isn't coming. Unlike Lambda, she isn't the type to enjoy defeat as just another part of the game.

Oh, she brought a couple extra guests with her. That's fine, right?

Lambda cuts in to introduce Lion to Battler, very briefly.

It's an awkward meeting, but Lion is happy to see a world where Beatrice can enjoy herself.

After Bern made them pieces on the game board and planned to crush them, Lambda snatched them up at the last second. On this board, they're Lambda's pieces, not Bern's.

Zepar and Furfur call for Lord BATTLER to declare the beginning of the festivities properly.

No objections from the crowd. Ronove leads Battler to the center of the room.

BGM: Corridor of the Sands of Purgatory

Ange is still alone in the next room over.

She wants to join the fun.

It's time to go and join them. Ange gets off the sofa.

The door isn't locked.

The doorknob turns, but the door won't open.

A cold wind blows through the room.

Something beyond that window is watching her.

The Ushiromiya family doesn't own any pets. Is this a stray cat?

The cat seems to be telling her that this window is the only way out of the room.

The cat continues to lead Ange, taking her to a lit window.

Ange pounds on the window, but nobody hears her.

When she gives up on the window, the cat continues to lead Ange onwards.

Ange tries to thank the mysterious stray cat, but it's already disappeared.

She crawls through the window and into the mansion. It quietly shuts and locks itself behind her.

When she flicks on the light switch, the light does come on.

But maybe it would have been better if it didn't.
