Attempt #10! Extra short update.
Floor 1: Used one rope, rescued a dame.
Floor 2: Used a rope, gained three bombs, lost two health to an arrow trap.
Floor 3: Found the Udjat Eye.
Floor 4: Found three ropes, rescued a dame. Broke even on health.
Floor 5: Lost two health to cavemen.
Floor 6:
Two new things in this screenshot! First are the Golden Scarabs, to the left and right. They are harmless and will die from any amount of damage, but the real use of them is touching them. Touching a Golden Scarab converts it into treasure - and they're worth a TON of money.
More pressing, though, is the "The Dead are Restless!" message. Unique to the jungle zone, this indicates a floor covered in skeletons, zombies, vampires, and other undead monsters. Very dangerous...
...but also potentially very rewarding. This is the legendary Crystal Skull. If I can get it to the exit, I'll win $30,000 for it - the most money from any single source in the entire game. However, there are many dangers associated with it, most notably the fact that an invincible ghost will start chasing me the moment I grab it.
Down near the dame is a Vampire, very dangerous enemies. They have lots of health, are very fast, and can fly and drain health from you if they hit. Here, I deal with it by pushing a block on top of it.
Yeah, I forgot that about 80% of bone piles are skeletons on Restless Dead floors.
