Let's Play ADOM, Take 1

I'm going to alternate this with Mother 3!
The idea is this:

I am going to do a Let's Play of the roguelike "Ancient Domains of Mystery." I will die many times in it. But, the special thing is...

...you, the viewers, decide how!

Let's begin!

The rules of the game are as follows:
-At certain times over the course of the game, there will be multiple choices as to what to do.
-I'll make one comment to this post myself, starting an epic giant thread.
-At each branch, YOU post which choice you want me to take.
-I will respond with a chain of comments chronicling my further adventures, until we come to the next branch.
-Rinse, lather, repeat.
-If multiple people suggest things, I'll pick one at my whim.

All right, time to build a character!

Month of the Sword! A fantastic birth star for characters of the cutty, stabby persuasion.

And this is where the choiciness begins...

...

Weirdly enough, only four outlaws! Normally bands are larger.

My spoils are one uncursed hat [+0, +0]

DV/PV explanation:
Armor is usually associated with two numbers in square brackets, as shown above. The left number is DV, which reduces your chance to get hit by stuff. The right number is PV, which reduces the damage of attacks that DO hit. Either way, even 0/0 items have their uses, so I equip it. Besides, hat.

Sometimes you'll encounter traps, with the effect of randomly destroying equipment you're carrying. [+0, +0] armors can act as buffer items, which might get destroyed instead of things you care about.

This happens depressingly frequently
