Garland isn't really into the whole "dying for something" business. He's far, far too much of a coward.

I'd say his parents. They really pushed for him to become a proper arch-villain.

Accidentally committing an act of heroism? Having his guests be disappointed with his performance as a host?

Good jokes. It only takes ten muscles to smile!

Posssssibly Evil Princess Sara, for taking him briefly under her wing to work on his ways of villainy. The feeling is not mutual.

Post-movie Kuzco would at least risk death to save Pacha from a similar fate. Pre-movie Kuzco wouldn't die for anything, ever.

Kuzco's not a big Individual Objects guy, so let's go with the whole Royal Palace.

Becoming friends with Pacha.

Being left to die in the jungle as a llama in the rain.

Unodubtedly, unquestionably Pacha.

Being abandoned and left alone to fend for himself in the cold, cruel world. It happened to him once!

Give up food. Being a ghost, she probably doesn't REALLY need it, but damn it's so tasty.

Her past, maybe. The one she doesn't remember.

The Saigyou Ayakashi -- the youkai cherry tree that houses her soul.

Tough call! Let's go with making friends with Yukari.

Her worst memory is one that has been sealed -- her own suicide.

In the long term, possibly Youki Konpaku, for what he DIDN'T do: Namely, tell her about her human past. As a result, she was able to continue living a carefree afterlife

Yuyuko's biggest nightmare already happened: Being a human with the power to manipulate human souls. It was so terrifying that she killed herself to escape it.
09. What makes them laugh?
Festivals. Drinking. Light-heartedly tormenting Youmu. Being mysterious.

Either Yukari, who is her best friend, or Youmu, who is her ever-devoted servant.

Algus has no sense of humor. His only laughter is the humorless, derisive kind!

God I hope so.
Honestly considering how much he loves to call people whoresons, and how he isn't married, he probably is a virgin, yes.
