Siesta 00

A weapon of the Sisters' Cavalry, which serves Pendragon.

00 has the position as the calm and composed leader. However, while that is the position demanded of her, she actually has a weaker composition.

00 excels in reconnaissance and as an advance guard, possessing extreme supremacy in encounters. However, her excess fighting power is criticized as being inhuman, and it is not rare for her to be lynched and abused when she surrenders on the battlefield.

Her one eye silently tells of that.

Rosa is alive. She awakens on an ice-cold floor.

She's never seen this place. It's like being alone in a forgotten world.

Small footsteps are approaching.

No... Nobody Rosa knows. This is definitely their first meeting.

The mysterious child urges Rosa to move. Despite running along behind him, it's hard to feel like she's moving at all in this darkness.

Everytime he says that infantile word, a lance of pain strikes through Rosa's head.

The child falters, and mutters "uu," sending another needle through Rosa's brain. Something about him is inherently painful to Rosa.

The child says that Maria is here, but that they shouldn't meet. Maria is not Maria right now.

That's why Rosa has to escape.

The pieces snap into place.

Sakutaro's touch leaves a deep wound in Rosa's hand. He doesn't seem to understand it, either.

At Rosa's words, a line traces across Sakutaro's neck.

Following the darkness is cotton and yellow cloth.

Nothing remains but the debris of the stuffed animal Rosa destroyed.

World of Maria?

Maria's flood of tears awakens two emotions in Rosa. The first is regret, and the feeling of wanting to reassure her daughter and apologize, which she does at once.

The other is anger.

Children should do as they're told.

They need to learn discipline.

Rosa feels something strange, as her hands descend on Maria again and again.

BGM: Mirage Coordinator

Rosa never escaped this place.

A small voice speaks up from across the darkness.

Behind Maria is another, larger silhouette.

Mama hit her more than she patted her. She doesn't turn the pages of a picture book. She doesn't make food.

So, she doesn't need those arms.

Sakutaro was a better friend to Maria than her mother ever was.

No matter what happens to Rosa, she can't complain.

It is time for MARIA to pass judgement. Is Rosa innocent or guilty?

Massive, invisible claws envelop Rosa's body. The air fills with the sound of bones breaking.

Rosa's body is ripped in half, but there's no cotton inside. All that comes out is darkness, thick like tar.

No human insides, of course. A human wouldn't treat her daughter that way.

MARIA's second verdict is the same as the first.

Come, try to remember. What form did you have?

Come, try to remember. How great was your sin?

But she kept that promise, didn't she? They ate that cake together, didn't they?

Maria knew. She always knew.

Maria knew about Rosa's lies.

She believed, even though she knew.

The man in the hotel room says he feels bad about straining her relationship with her daughter, but she says she doesn't want to talk about Maria.

It's hard, isn't it, Rosa?

If only you weren't a mother, none of this frustration would be necessary.

If only Maria had never been born, life would be so much easier.

Maria's father disappeared from Rosa's life right before she was born. He was able to create a happy new life on his own, with someone else.

But Rosa couldn't. Maria was in her way.

Even the power of a witch isn't enough for Maria to endure this onslaught.

So she has to set herself free.

Rosa's body is crushed, not unlike a towel being wrung out.

Beatrice revives Rosa again. Even in this state, the darkness within Rosa doesn't recede.

Rosa's chest is crushed by an invisible battering ram. Still can't forgive. Again and again she dies. Still can't forgive.

This isn't mama. It's the witch who torments Maria. The bad witch that lives inside Rosa.

Maria will kill that witch over and over, until the pain it suffers matches the pain it gave her.

Her cry is one of hopelessness. She always knew that she was a burden, but she had nobody else in the world. What was she supposed to do? How could it not come to this torture?

Every time Beatrice revives Rosa, she asks the same question. Innocent, or guilty?

The one who makes this hell infinite is not Beatrice, but Maria.

Revive. Kill. Revive. Kill. Revive. Kill. Revive. Kill. Revive. Kill.

Will this accomplish anything? Will it heal Maria's heart?

Well, it at least revived her smile.
