Let's Play Umineko, Episode 4 Scene 11: The Mariage Sorciere
<< | ^^ | >>

Lady MARIA's white heart, which was torn apart.
His broken vessel can only be regenerated by the master who created him, ROSA.
However, ROSA disposed of the vessel's fragments, and even lost the pattern paper. On top of that, because his existence was denied by the master herself, his resurrection is impossible.
The master died in the year 1986, and his resurrection disappeared for all time.
His resurrection is even impossible for the Endless Witch, Beatrice...

Ange and her bodyguard are on their way to Niijima.
They could've taken a plane, but there's a good chance that the airport is under Sumadera family surveillance.

Their ultimate destination is, of course, Rokkenjima.
The message bottles, the diary, all they have is fairy tales. If you want the truth, you go to the source.

In all likelihood, she'll end up finding nothing. She hasn't thought as far ahead as what she'll do after that.

The longer Ange stays on the run, the less powerful this journey feels. She still hasn't thought of giving it up. Not until she reaches Rokkenjima.

It doesn't matter what you accomplish, or how many people praise you. All that matters in the end is that you can praise yourself.
Rich is the one who is content with what they are.

As Amakusa disappears below deck, Ange's old friend comes back.

The difference here, Ange argues, is that humans have a limited lifespan, and greed is infinite. If you're to ever feel complete, you need to let go of it eventually.

Humans live to meet death with satisfaction. All of life is preparing for death.
Satisfaction is being acknowledged by the right person, says Ange. However, most people don't know who that person is.

The pointless journey of life ends once you realize that that person is yourself.

Listening to Mammon's words, Ange accepts one thing, at least:
Maria really is amazing.

By the measures of society, Maria's life was awful, but she created her own happiness. If she died, she would die with satisfaction, because she accepted herself.

Does magic exist? Is it fake?
Everyone has to decide that for themselves. You can't force your answer on the world.

This is why the Mariage Sorciere exists. An alliance where each member acknowledges the power and happiness of the others.
Ange betrayed that rule, and hurt Maria badly.

The real purpose of this journey is to meet Maria again. To apologize for that day.
Somehow it seems like, if she can do that much, it might undo the last twelve years of pain.

She'll do both. This is a quest for revenge as well as a quest for atonement.

Ange has something better to offer than flowers, though.

In the past she denied him, but now, Ange is the only one who can accept Sakutaro's existence.

Everyone is here. They all exist.
In case it wasn't clear, magic is very much real. As long as somebody believes, it exists for them.

Bit by bit, Ange is coming to understand the depths of Maria and Beatrice's magic.

Whether or not magic exists in general doesn't matter. Ange can decide for herself whether or not it exists for her.

In her own little world, Ange won't acknowledge magic or witches. She'll find the truth of Rokkenjima.
It's a total contradiction, but it works for her.

The Seven Stakes of Purgatory will faithfully serve her to the end.
She's still wondering about one thing, though: Why can she summon Sakutaro, when Maria couldn't?

Because at that moment, Maria stopped believeing in Sakutaro. He was no longer a part of her world.

That moment was when Maria died, and MARIA was born.

The recreation of his vessel would be necessary - but it's also impossible. Rosa made it, so only Rosa can remake it.
Reviving Sakutaro in MARIA's world isn't possible.

This is the only way that Ange can atone for her sins.

Rain clouds gather as they approach the island. Just like 12 years ago.

Below deck, Amakusa prepares for the worst.

Meanwhie, somebody else is en route to Rokkenjima.

The Sumaderas know where Ange is going. They are going to follow, and they're bringing some toys with them.
